Annual Solo Contest

  • Participant must be a member in good standing in the YSDP Symphony or Preparatory Orchestra.

  • Piece must be memorized.

  • Preparatory Orchestra will perform with an accompanist on the spring concert. The accompanist you audition with must be the one who will perform with you on the concert.

  • Symphony participants must play a piece that has available orchestral accompaniment. If you have any concerns, you may ask Mr.Tham if orchestral accompaniment is available.

  • The contest date is March 1st, 2008. The location is moved to St. Thomas United Methodist Church. Time will be 9:00am to 4:00pm.

  • Participant must provide judges with three numbered copies of your piece. There will be no copy machine available at the school. Bring your numbered copies with you.

  • Concert dress is required for this audition.

  • Forms must be returned no later than Monday, January 29, 2007. Please staple to your form a $20 audition fee. No form will be accepted without payment. If you are in financial need, please contact Kimberlie Richter at KJR6840 @ aol . com.
